Since 1983, El Mejicano provided the most authentic Mexican cuisine recipes. El Mejicano also introduced the first and still the only "all you can eat" Mexican buffet in the city of Wichita Falls.

We specialize in serving quality Mexican Food, and proud to have the cleanest restaurant kitchen in the area! What also sets us apart is that we prepare our meat to always be moist and flavorful, thus no lard is ever used in any of our entrees. Looking forward to serving you!

HISTORY
Before El Mejicano, the average person considered Mexican Food as being limited to tacos, enchiladas, and hot salsas. Few Texans were actually aware of the vast array of sauces, spices, and flavors that make the Mexican cuisine so unique.

For nearly a quarter of a century, El Mejicano Restaurant has taken pride in bringing this refined cuisine to Wichita Falls. El Mejicano tradition started as a small family owned and operated restaurant and buffet located on Ninth Street. By following the highest standards and the most authentic recipes, that small restaurant steadily grew in popularity. Soon this location became too small to serve the needs of its fast growing and most loyal clientele. El Mejicano soon expanded to a full-sized restaurant that can serve more than two hundred and fifty customers. By serving the same traditional Mexican dishes and the unique "all you can eat" buffet in the city of Wichita Falls, the restaurant was able to gain more customers. In fact, demand was so big in this area that the family had to expand this location.

El Mejicano restaurant is looking for continued growth in the future. Whatever the future holds, El Mejicano has pledged to always serve the same original recipes that have made it a Texoma tradition.
