More than 7,000 patients who used a Tulsa dentist are being warned tonight to undergo testing for hepatitis and hiv.

Health officials say letters recommending testing have been sent to the patients of Doctor Scott Harrington.

A complaint against Harrington led investigators to discover safety issues at his dental practice, including a unit for sterilizing equipment which wasn't working properly.

Harrington voluntarily closed his office while the investigation continues.

He could lose his license for major violations of the Oklahoma dental act.
