WFPD officers want to remind you that shopping at night is dangerous, and that's tip four during our 12 days of a safe Christmas.
Police say if you're going to be doing some last-minute shopping, make sure you plan at least a little bit and set aside some time to shop during the daylight hours. But if push comes to shove and you have to shop at night, officers say make sure you park your car in a well-lit area.
Sergeant John Spragins advised, "If you're parked in a dark area, it obviously gives an opportunity for thieves to either steal things from your vehicle, or you could be a victim of robbery or theft while you're walking to your vehicle."
