A Massachusetts doctor is charged with a DUI after crashing her vehicle into traffic and it was captured on video.
Fifty-six year old Kristin Howard was speeding through a store parking lot in Wellesley last week when she crashed her SUV into a car waiting at a red light.
Traffic cameras captured the whole thing. Doctor Howard, who has been an emergency room doctor for 13 years, was arraigned in court Tuesday.
Prosecutors say Howard was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. She was wearing hospital scrubs when she was arrested.
The man inside the car she hit said she came out of nowhere. Crash victim Paul McDonald recalled, "I'm sitting at a light kind of day dreaming and next thing I thought a bomb went off, and she whacked me good."
McDonald spent a few days in the hospital with cracked ribs. Prosecutors requested one hundred thousand dollars cash bail saying drugs found in Doctor Howard's car were prescribed by her for herself.
She's due back in court in January.
