Students at Bowie Eementary have something new to smile about while reading their books and it's all thanks to the high school's Interior Design Class.
The class felt the library needed some sprucing up, so they decided to give the library a new "Under the Sea" theme.
The 17 students in the design class spent several months cutting plywood to make underwater creatures come to life on the walls.
This class was on a budget so most of the materials used were things like recycled bottles and ceiling tiles.
They just loved to see the fish and all different colors they had. And it felt really good to do something for somebody else other than ourselves, said Senior Erin Slattery.
These students say their hard work was all worth it after seeing how much joy it brought to the elementary kids.
