Castaway Cove Finishes Summer Strong

"We came all the way down from Lawton, really enjoying the day even though it's the last day of the summer, got to get that final hoorah in before it's all over." Said Kelly Vajgrt.

As Water park attendees soak in the final days of Castaway Cove's summer season, Park Management celebrates another financial season where they were able to stay in the black, despite lower temperatures this summer compared to last.

"It's right about the same as last year; we may be a little bit under last year. We had some really hot days, over 100 degrees. This year it hasn't been as hot but we're right there in the neighborhood where we were last year." Said Castaway Cove Manager Steve Vaughn

Officials say the hottest days of the summer are when crowds tend to die down. As people often choose to pass on being outdoors altogether.

"There's a little bit of a difference, actually when it gets 110-112 degrees we kind of slow down for a bit. It gets too hot." Said Vaughn

Regardless of how high the temperatures climb next season, many at the park say they're already looking forward to plunging on in next year.

"We may get those season passes, great deal, always a good time." Said Vajgrt.
