Jury deliberations continue in 89th District Court in the case where a man is charged with assaulting another man in a local bar.
They have been deliberating all afternoon.
Robert Pautsky is accused of punching a bar employee, causing serious facial injuries.
An arrest affidavit states Pautsky told police someone was mouthing off at him, so he hit that person outside the door of Lazy Dog Saloon near Downtown Wichita Falls.
Testimony states the victims had to have metal plates put in his face during reconstruction.
During testimony today several witnesses testified on Pautsky's behalf and stated he acted in self defense.
Pautsky later took the stand and stated he didn't know the severity of the victims injuries until much later.
Today prosecution and defense attorneys concentrated on if Pautsky caused *bodily injury* or *severe bodily injury*.
Severe bodily injury would mean Pautsky intended to cause death or serious permanent disfigurement to the victim.
Pautsky says he did not intend to injure the victim in the manner in which he did.
He claims he was acting in self defense while trying to retrieve his wife from inside the bar.
