The start of the work week is when TxDOT crews will start a big construction project on Kell West in Wichita Falls.
Construction equipment is already in place along the frontage of Kell West.
That's where crews will start building a new and safer exit ramp for Fairway Bouleverd.
The existing ramp is plagued with drivers who sometimes having a difficult time merging through traffic to turn right into the United Market Street parking lot or on Fairway Boulevard.
So TxDOT is building a new ramp 500 feet east of the current exit.
Construction starts tomorrow but officials say don't expect any major detours.
"Your exit ramp will remain open for this next four months pretty much all the time. Sometimes a lane closure will be needed cause they're working next to the freeway and then eventually, when we do move the sign bridges, then we will have to close the exit ramp. We're expecting to do most of that at night," says TxDOT Spokesperson Adele Lewis.
Construction on the new $600,000 exit ramp starts Monday at 8 a.m., and is expected to be finished in July.
