An attack on a dog in Conroe, Texas is sparking outrage and anger that someone would shoot the animal and then dump it in a trash bag on a cold night.
But Buck survived his ordeal thanks to some good samaritans. Buck's name came from the buckshots that could have killed him. Someone found the dog in the bag, tied to a post. He had buckshot stuck in his eyes, mouth, gums, neck and shoulders. And he had hypothermia after spending at least 10 hours in the bag.
Tami Augustyn, who rescued Buck said, "He was extremely anemic and very dehydrated, very lethargic, wouldn't move. He also was limping, but they've been able to stabilize him.
Buck may be blinded permanently and he also appears to have hearing loss and may have brain damage.
