OSHA has fined Horizontal Well Drillers more than $50,000 for exposing its workers to hazards at a drilling site in Jacksboro.
OSHA says three times over the past five years, company officials did not ensure all guardrails were installed to prevent falls of more than four feet.
It did not provide an auxiliary escape line or ensure the usage of personal protective equipment in the event of a flash fire.
Horizontal Well Drillers was also cited for a serious violation for failing to ground the shale shaker trailer, . which could result in serious injury or death.
The penalties imposed total $55,500.
