The improvement can be attributed to recent rains across eastern Texoma (mainly east of I-44) where some counties dropped two categories, from the highest level 5 to 3 (one of those is Comanche County).
Unfortunately because the rainfall has been less in western Texoma 12 counties still remain in the highest level, 5 which is considered to "Exceptional."
