Those attending the town hall meeting gathered around a table to discuss both local and national issues with Elaine Hays.
The future of the economy and term limits on Congress dominated conversation, as voters vented frustrations with the current system.
Elaine Hays said, "I heard a lot of concern about the dysfunction in Washington, and the lack of ability for people to communicate. And the need for our federal government to lead by example."
Hays says she was glad to be able to connect personally with voters.
She now plans to return to Amarillo, to prepare for the upcoming political forums throughout the region.
