Escapee Kills Himself
An escapee from Parker County who broke into several homes in Jack County has killed himself after leading officers in North Carolina on a chase in a stolen pickup. Haywood County Sheriff's deputies say they'd been in pursuit of a truck reported stolen Friday in Jack County and that the driver was 29 year old Donald McFaden Orange. Officials say road spikes were put out in front of the truck and when the truck came to a stop and deputies approached the truck, Orange shot himself in the head with a shotgun. Jack County authorities say Orange broke into several homes Friday, tied up one homeowner with phone and extension cords, and then stole the pickup.
