WICHITA FALLS - Hockey could be returning to Wichita Falls as soon as this October.
Sources close to the negations tell KFDX, Wichita Falls is in talks to have a Central One Hockey League team.
Wichita Falls along with El Paso, Oklahoma City and Northern Colorado are confirmed on the C1HL website.
The C1HL attempted to play its inaugural season in 2017, but financial issues forced a delay.
The league announced a new commissioner last month and says the league will have at least six teams and play between 56 to 60 games a season.
The league is in negotiations with teams in Arizona, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming.
The C1HL expects to issue an official release by the end of the month.
