Firefighters Battling Huge Fire in Burkburnett

BURKBURNETT, TEXAS - Four fire departments had to join forces Tuesday night to put out a large fine in Burkburnett.

The first started just before 9 p.m. in the 300 block of East 2nd Street at the old Elliot Auto Supply Store.

Firefighters say most of the flames were contained to the front of the building.

They also say the second floor roof and West wall collapsed during the fire.

Burkburnett, Wichita Falls, Friberg, and Sheppard Air Force Base firefighters finally put out the flames around 11 p.m. Tuesday night.

The Burk Fire Department asks that you please avoid this area so clean up operations can begin.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
