In honor of mike tucker of tucker farms friends, family, and the community gathered for a fish fry fundraiser Sunday afternoon in Petrolia.
Fried catfish, fried corn, hush puppies  and more were on the menu Sunday at the Petrolia High School. Even though tucker has only been in the hospital for a month with his leukemia his medical bills are piling up.
"This is a very expensive cost type of leukemia not only do they do biopsy on the bone marrow,  but he has to have all of his blood transfusions as well every day a doctor or someone looks after him. Cost does add up and we are just thankful for the community and what they have done to help on this cost," said Nita Hays, Tucker's sister-in-law.
Folks who came out Sunday afternoon were also able to bid on several donated auction items. Tucker's family say the support they've received from the community is what's helped them keep fighting during this difficult time.
