Friends Organize a Fundraiser for Speir's Children

Friends, family, and the rodeo community are coming together in honor of their late friend, Teresa Speir. The 52-year old Devol mother was laid to rest last Tuesday, one day before 49-year-old David Daniel was charged with her murder. Authorities say Spier was reported missing 3 weeks ago. Her body was discovered by the Cotton County Officials on the property of Daniels, 12 days later.
To help pay for the funeral, friends and family have organized a rodeo. It's this Saturday, February 4th at the Max Phillips Arena in Walters. Coordinators say 30 bull riders have already signed up.
Although admission is free, donations are welcomed. For more information on the rodeo contact Clyde Gray (580) 647-2272. Donations for the raffle prizes are being accepted through Wednesday, contact Tracie Anderson for more information (580) 704-0529.
