Greatest Generation - Robert C. Justice

Every month a member of the Greatest Generation is honored at the Red Door Senior Citizens Center and this month the award went to a man who served in the Army Air Corp flying a B-24.

Robert Curtis Justice was born in Howe, Oklahoma and attended basic training in Wichita Falls at what was then Sheppard Field.  Justice was a Lead Crew Operator- and after his crew dropped bombs he had the job to radio the General and tell him where they dropped the bomb and how much damage he believes was done.

"I don't think we did anything more than anyone else would have done if they were called upon. But, we did what we thought we had to do and were glad to do it. Still proud we did it, says Justice."

Justice flew more than 40 missions in the B-24 including 3 on D-Day.
