The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board will be in the Childress area tomorrow, investigating a fatal helicopter crash.

It happened about 2- and- a- half miles northeast of Childress around 4- Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Childress Department of Public Safety, 23- year old Jonathan Suhr, of McLean, was killed.
Mclean's about 40- miles east of Amarillo, off I-40.
The DPS says Suhr was suspended in a chair about 50- feet below the helicopter, hanging rollers on power poles so they could later run lines.
That's when we're told the helicopter lost power from about 150- to 160- feet up, and slammed into the ground.
DPS officials say it's believed the Hughes 500- model did not strike Suhr.
He was pronounced dead around 5:45 at Childress Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in the fall.
They say the pilot,  42- year old Keith Hard, who they say is from California, was being treated for back injuries.
The helicopter was owned by Brim Aviation.
