For the first time, Faith Mission has a junior ambassador.
Seven year old P.J. Bailey, seen here in this public service announcement, is the newly appointed junior ambassador for Faith Mission and the future Faith Refuge for Women.
This West Foundation Elementary second grader started his new position in January.
And shelter officials say he has been a busy little ambassador.
"He is actually helping to raise awareness of homelessness in this area and mobilize people to get involved and to give and to know that they can do more than just give money. They can give items, pray," says Faith Mission Marketing Director Vicky Payne.
Shelter officials say while P.J. is the first junior ambassador in Faith Mission's 50 year history, they say other ambassadors may join him in the future.
