Electra's police chief is taking steps this weekend to replace several open officer positions at the department.
Last month four officers resigned from the department leaving the Electra police force with just one part-time and two two full-time officers.
Since then Chief Johnny Morris has been combing through applications and says out of about 30 he's selected three people to interview.
He says all are from Texas and all have law enforcement backgrounds.
According to Chief Morris interviews for all three applicants will be conducted this weekend for one part time and two full time officer positions.
