Texoma parents are getting help preparing their kids to head back to school.

JCPenney Salon kicked off its free haircuts for kids today.

All day, parents brought in their little ones to get styled and the parents who brought their children say it's well worth the wait.

"We were just out getting school supplies today and I decided to come get their hair cut."

"It's a pretty good deal, I only had a five minute wait and we were in and out in ten minutes," says parent, Cyndie Coulter

Free kids cuts at JCPenney Salon are from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and 12 to 6 p.m., on Sundays through August.

It's for kindergarten through 6th grade students.

Walk-in are accepted, but you can also call (940) 692-5681 to make an appointment.

Coordinators say this first day resulted in more than 150 kid hair cuts.
