A local group needs your help to make life a little easier for dozens of area homeless veterans.

Members of Angel's Wings ministry at University United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls are putting together packages for he area's homeless vets.

They say 370 have been counted in the area and they're collecting travel sized toiletry items for them.

"They are living under underpasses and along the river and all they have are their backpacks and they do go to the missions to shower and these are just very important items for them and they just carry them," says Marie Donnell with Angles' Wings Ministry.

Members of Angels' Wings are also collecting plastic bags to make these light-weight, waterproof mats for homeless vets.

The Angels' Wings Clean Kits collection day is Saturday, September 8th, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., at University United Methodist Church at 3405 Taft Boulevard.

Here is a list of the trial-sized and other items needed:

Deodorant Hand Sanitizer (Non-alcoholic)
Mouth Wash (Non-alcoholic)
Disposable Razors
Shaving Cream
Wet Wipes
Plastic Shopping Bags
