WFPD's 12 days of a safe Christmas continues today and officers want to remind you it's unsafe to leave items and wrapped presents visible in your car.
They say if a criminal sees a shopping bag in your car they'll be more likely to break in and cause more damage for you to take care of.
Sergeant John Spragins said, "Always try to hide them in the trunk if you have one, or out of sight, so it's not an opportunity for thieves to break a window and get into your vehicle."
