A man accused in a beating and stabbing attack in 2009 at Lake Wichita Park is sentenced in 89th District Court.

Joseph Allen Jones pleaded guilty to two charges of aggravated assault. He's sentenced to eight years in prison. Court records show Jones and accomplice Ross Muehlberger, who police say later went on the shooting rampage at Toby's and Hastings attacked the men at Lake Wichita Park in October of 2009.

An affidavit states they went to the park to meet Pamela Sampley, Muehlberger's girlfriend at the time. The affidavit states two of the victims were repeatedly beaten and stabbed.

They survived after undergoing treatment.
