City councilors awarded the construction bid for the 2014 Street Rehabilitation Project last week.
The Street Rehabilitation project is annual project that repaves roads in need.
Project Manager Blaine Boswell says this year's project will include parts of Fairway and a few downtown street.
Last years' project included a portion of McNiel Avenue.
The way the project was laid out caused quite a bit of problems for drivers, so Boswell says crews will not be paving roads the same way this year.
“What we did last year was we left them two inches low and had them ramp in and out of those square patch areas because we are gonna come back later and mill off two inches and then put two inches of brand new asphalt back down so we didn't want to waste the money of putting new asphalt in and coming back and milling it off the asphalt again,” says Boswell.
The project will cost about 3 million dollars and should start in April.
