A second man has been charged in connection to a shooting and robbery at a Wichita Falls motel last month.

19 year old Tavares Byrd has been charged with aggravated robbery.

Earlier police charged 38 year old Carlos Byrd in that same robbery and assault.  Byrd also faces a charge of murder for another shooting.

Police say a woman said Carlos Byrd, Tavares Byrd, and a third man armed with semi-automatic handguns forced their way into the room she and her boyfriend Lashawn Green lived in at the Catalina Motel and demanded money.

She says they shot Green one time and fled in a vehicle.

Carlos Byrd is jailed on $4 million bonds for murder and robbery and Tavares Byrd is jailed on $2 million bond for 2 counts of aggravated robbery.
