The United States Geological Survey confirmed Thursday that a 3.0 earthquake shook portions of Oklahoma including some counties in Texoma.

The epicenter of the quake was 28 miles NNE of Duncan, Oklahoma, 42 miles SSW of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and 157 miles NNW of Dallas, Texas.

The quake occurred at 11:50am.  And the government agency received almost a dozen reports from the public feeling the quake.

No reports of damage have been reported to the agency.

Quakes in Oklahoma are not unusual in recent years as an unexplained swarm of quakes has been ongoing since the late 2000s.  However in the past few months the swarm had decreased in activity.
