Residents from all over Texoma were up at the crack of dawn this morning to participate in a bike run to benefit Hospice of Wichita Falls.

Today marked the 6th annual 90 for Dad bike ride starting and ending at the archer county court house with six 15-mile laps around Archer City.

The event was started by Dail Neely of Archer City, whose father passed away at Hospice.

Neely says he pledged to start a bike ride in memory of his father and also to raise money for Hospice to say thank you for the great care they took of him.

The goal was to raise a thousand dollars a year for ten years and so far the ride has been a huge success.

"We passed that mark the first year, we passed 100,000 last year. And we've raised about 25,000 this year," Neely says.

Neely said the turnout was great this year and they hope to have the same in years to come.
