WICHITA FALLS (KFDX/KJTL) - A man accused of setting his own apartment complex on fire and a man accused of animal cruelty have been no-billed.
On Jan. 22, Wichita Falls firefighters were called out to the fire at La Posada Apartments where police said Aaron Stephenson, 29, started the fire after he got in an argument with a man and woman and thought they were going to break in and kill him, so he threw a blanket on the stove to make smoke and scare them off, then jumped through a window.
In March, Steven Ray Brown, 43, was booked on cruelty to a non-livestock animal.
Burkburnett police said a resident reported hearing a pellet gun discharge and saw a neighbor holding a pellet gun and opening a gate to let a wounded dog out.
When questioned, officers said Brown told them he saw a dog in his backyard trying to mate with his dog, and he did not like it, so he got a pellet gun and shot him in the face.
