Alleged Drug Deal Goes South, Man Arrested

A Wichita Falls man is behind bars after police say a suspected drug deal apparently goes south.

33-year-old Denton Collaso was arrested early Saturday morning. Police believe a man went over to his house, possibly to buy drugs and sell a food stamp card, when he said Collaso robbed him with a machete.

The man left the house and called police. Collaso is charged with aggravated robbery and manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance, methametamine, less than 3 grams.

His bonds total $200,000. Collaso has previous convictions of assault and theft.
