Oklahoma Department of Corrections officials say extradition of an inmate authorities say escaped from the Granite State Reformatory last week is underway.

Authorities say 26 year old Aaron Kelsey was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Denison Friday after police learned he has family in the area and were watching for suspicious activity. The home was reportedly owned by a friend of Kelsey.

Granite prison officials say Kelsey was discovered missing during the morning roll call last Wednesday. He was serving a 10 year sentence for burglary and weapons charges in the medium security facility north of Altus.
