WICHITA FALLS - The alleged shooter of a man whose body was found in Lucy Park has been indicted for capital murder.
28-year-old Brandon Alexander Gilleland is the second man charged with the capital murder of 60-year-old Roger Aliff in October 2016.
Police say the other suspect, Dustin Hord, admitted being involved but said he did not fire the fatal shots.
Gilleland was charged in January after he was paroled from prison on a burglary sentence.
Police say Hord told them Gilleland shot Aliff following an argument involving drugs, once in the chest and once in the thigh then they went to Lucy Park and dropped his body off the road. Aliff was still alive when his body was found, but he died later.
Hord has been in jail since April 2017, when he turned himself in after an arrest warrant was issued. He and Gilleland both have $1 million bonds.
