Alleged Victim in Sexual Assault Case Takes the Stand

The alleged victim of a man charged with indecency with a child is on the stand as his trial continues in 89th District Court.

Daniel Matthew Jordan of Iowa Park is charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact. Prosecutors also say they plan to introduce evidence of other sexual acts with a child from January 2012 to September 2013 in Wichita County and Arizona starting when the girl was about 11.

This morning an Iowa Park officer says he began investigating allegations of sexual indecency involving a 13-year-old old girl in Iowa Park in September of 2013.

The officer said he sent the girl and her mother to Patsy's House in Wichita Falls for forensic interviews then contacted Jordan who agreed to be interviewed. But the officer says Jordan later called back to cancel, and said any questions would have to go through his attorney.

Jordan has filed a request that if found guilty, the jury set his punishment.
