An Archer County grand jury has decided there is not enough evidence to file criminal charges in the death of a Megargel man.

The body of 54 year old Billy Jack Stevens, Senior was found on April 23rd, in the front yard of a Megargel home in the 600 block of 5th Street.

Archer County sheriff's officials say his injuries were consistent with blunt force trauma.

Although no arrest has been made in this case, sheriff's officials say they have a person of interest .

But District Attorney Paige Williams says the grand jury heard the case this afternoon and decided there was not enough evidence to charge that person of interest.
