The Texas Oil and Gas Industry is fueling a big event for the next two days in Downtown Wichita Falls.
The Texas Alliance of Energy Producers annual expo and meeting kicked off today at the MPEC.
Coordinators say a record 378 vendors are displaying the latest in the oil and gas industry.
From banking firms, to maps to equipment... it is all available at the expo.
This event has taken place at the MPEC since the late 1990's and coordinators say although the North Texas area is considered mature for oil and gas exploration, they say those natural resources are still available.
"The oil here is very high quality. It's sweet crude. It's very shallow. It's a very good crude. We've produced a lot of it but there's still some in the ground to be produced," says Alex Mills, president of the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers.
The annual meeting and expo continues tomorrow through 4 p.m.
While coordinators say some of events and luncheons are sold out, the events listed below are free and open to the public:
9:00 a.m. Alliance Expo & Outside Equipment Showcase
9:00 a.m. Silent Auction
