While city officials work to conserve water, students in Archer City are trying to do their part.

Mr. Crowley's environmental science class has spent the last two weeks studying ways to conserve water.

The class lessened the amount of times their family flushed the toilet, turned off the shower water more and washed full loads of laundry.

Students say they loved doing the experiment.

“This was really eye opening for all of us because most of us are juniors and seniors and we're fixing to go out into the world on our own and it's really eye opening to see hey there are ways that you can help your community without having to go through some like torturing process. It's doable,” says student London Steele.

Each day they were able to save 10 gallons of water per person.
