On Monday, January 13th, Archer County Commissioners Court determined that the present conditions require a ban on outdoor burning in the unincorporated areas of Archer County.

This ban will be a temporary one, lasting for thirty days from the 13th.

The burn ban does not prohibit outdoor burning related to public health and safety including firefighter training, harvesting of agricultural crops, and welding.

Outdoor cooking or grilling is allowed only in an enclosed cooking container.
