It was a great day to spend some time outdoors as many soaked up the sights and sounds of the Rodeo Parade in Archer City Saturday afternoon.
The parade was a part of the town's weekend festival that welcomes in cowboys from across the North Texas for an entire weekend of performances.
It ends with tonight's rodeo, which organizers say is quite the show.
"A lot of fun, a lot of laughs, a little drama, a little local color. Archer City has got a long history of the cowboy way. Some of those cowboys will be performing and participating tonight." Said Parade Announcer Verner Hayhurst.
Organizers say the rodeo has been so popular because of the community's deep cowboy roots and the fact that many ranchers still live in the area.
