Arrest Made In June Stabbing

A Wichita Falls man was arrested yesterday afternoon after police say he stabbed another man back in June.
Officers say both 30-year-old Nicholas Lee Myers and the victim were in a relationship with the same woman.
According to the arrest, affidavit police were called to United Regional where the victim was being treated for a stab wound.

The incident was investigated, witnesses told police the two men got into a physical altercation in the 1900 block of Seventh Street just after 10 pm on June 29th.

They say Myers struck the victim in the abdomen with what appeared to be a closed fist but the victim fell to the ground, saying he had been stabbed. That's when they say Myers fled the scene.

Police say the victim and two witnesses identified Myers in a photo lineup.
Myers was charged with aggravated assault.
He is in the Wichita County jail on a 100- thousand dollar bond.
