Buckets Blakes, a guard for the Harlem Globetrotters, made a special visit to the school.
With him, he brought a positive message about having good character by having a lot of C.H.E.E.R.
"C.H.E.E.R. is an acronym. The C is cooperation. The H is healthy mind and body. First E is effort, second E is enthusiasm, and the R is responsibility," Buckets says. "Those are some character traits we like to share with the kids in case they come across any obstacles in their lives."
Buckets says one of the situations during which C.H.E.E.R. can be important is bullying.
He says having great character encourages kids to deal with that challenge and others in a positive manner.
