Beer Can Slugger Could Go to Prison

A man who used beer cans as weapons in the robbery of a Wichita Falls convenience store could be going to prison after being charged with violating his probation.

26-year-old Daniel Green was arrested with two others in the robbery of a Wichita Falls 7-Eleven store in 2014.

The clerk says Green and another man and a woman were trying to steal beer and when she tried to stop them, they began throwing beer cans at her.

The clerk suffered injuries to her face from the flying beer cans.

Police found the robbers' getaway car on Colquit and say three people fled on foot.

All were taken into custody.

Green received 10 years probation and now is back in jail for allegedly violating several conditions of his probation, including moving from Wichita County without notifying authorities.

Green reported he moved to Vernon for several weeks to take a job at Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Police say he was also found in a car that had  a strong odor of marijuana and was with a man with  a conviction for drugs.
