The new owner of one of Wichita Falls' most recognizable buildings is hoping to make some changes.

Sean Kriger with Big Blue Properties spoke at city council this week where he told councilors he hopes to make big blue more than just office space.

He says owners are throwing around the ideas of everything from apartments, to housing a bar, places to shop or some type of combination.

He asked the councilors to consider coming up with some type of grant money so that the city and big blue properties could work together to bring back down town.

“Non of this stuff is free just to change over to apartments the permitting is going to be about 500 thousand dollars possibly even more, if you're looking to bring back downtown we're gonna need some help to do it,” says Kriger.

Kriger says his business partners will be in town this week and he hopes to set up a meeting with councilors to look into all financial help options.
