A Texoma high school golf standout is hoping you will swing by a blood drive this weekend in her honor.
London Steele is a student at Archer City High School and has a rare form of anemia.
London was recently correctly diagnosed with Hypogammaglobulinemia.
With this type of anemia her blood basically attacks all of the joints in her body.
She has to have blood infusions every three to four weeks.
Each treatment she needs requires 150 units of blood and that is why the Faith Masonic Lodge in Wichita Falls is rallying around her and hosting the Texas Blood Institute blood mobile.
London is the granddaughter of Bobby McGriff who is a Past Master of Archer City Lodge #708.
The blood drive for London is Saturday April 19th just outside of the lodge at 3503 Kemp Boulevard from 10:30am-2:30pm.
Blood donation credits will be offered to the family of London to help defer the cost of blood needed by London.
Each donor receives a free health screening and and donor reward points as well.
You must bring some form of photo identification to donate blood.
