Blood Evidence Leads to Arrest of Suspect in Car Break-Ins

Blood left at the scene of car break-ins two years ago leads to the arrest of a suspect police say admitted to the crimes after being told about the positive match of his blood.

Tracy Allen Green, 20, of Burkburnett is jailed for 6 counts of burglary of a vehicle. Police were sent to Chase Drive in Wichita Falls in August of 2012 to investigate multiple car break-ins.

They say they found fresh blood inside one of the cars that was burglarized. The blood was sent to the DPS crime lab, but no match to any individual was made.

However, police received notice a few weeks ago another routine database search had matched it to Green. Police say when they questioned Green and told him about the match, he admitted to numerous car burglaries and said he broke the windows with a spark plug.

Numerous other car burglaries were reported that summer, sparking police to remind owners to lock cars and not leave valuables in them.
