The city of Bowie hosted a welcome home party at Jackrabbit field this morning.

Hundreds turned out to show their appreciation for the hard work Brandon Workman has put in to earn the title of World Series Champion.

He pitched 8.2 innings in the postseason without allowing an earned run.

The mayor proclaimed November 8, 2013 as "Brandon Workman Day."

He was presented with a Bowie knife plaque and an inscribed cowboy hat from the American Hat Company.

Workman posed for pictures, signed autographs and spoke to all who showed up this morning.
