Burk Murder Case May Soon Be Going To Trial

A suspect in a Burkburnett murder case may soon be going to trial.
Charles Cornman is one of three defendants in the murder case from November of 2015.

He was in 78th district court this afternoon where the judge instructed clerks to put his trial on the court docket.
The three were arrested after the body of Cameron Scott McCarthy was found wrapped in cloth and plastic in the bedroom of a Burkburnett home. Police say he had been shot.

Teresa Faye Billen and Thomas Selman are also charged in his death.

Cornman is also charged with a reported assault at a motel in which he and McCarthy, allegedly terrorized and robbed a man. Police say Billen was also present.

That incident allegedly occurred shortly before McCarthy's murder.
