Burkburnett, TX. - The city of Burkburnett will be under new management Monday.
The city's Interim City Manager starts Monday morning.
Two weeks ago, the city picked Chester Nolen to be the Interim City Manager.
Nolen works for the search firm Strategic Government Resources.
The company is looking for a permanent replacement for previous City Manager Tim James.
The city will pay the search firm 70 dollars an hour.
The firm will then use that money to pay Nolen.
After hours, he will be helping Strategic Government Resources search for the permanent City Manager.
Mayor Carl Law says he thinks hiring Nolen will help in the search process because he will know exactly what the city needs.
Nolen is not a candidate for the position.
The search for a new city manger is expected to last four to five months.
