The former executive director of the Burkburnett Boys and Girls Club appeared in court this morning asking for her trial date to be set.

Sharon Bankhead is charged with stealing about $80,000 from the club from 2009 to 2012.

She was arrested last year for forgery and later for theft over $20,000.

Officers say almost $40,000 was missing in the form of missing cash deposits.

Court documents filed today show Bankhead's attorneys asked for her trial to be set for December 8.

They state that's because Bankhead now lives in Temple and wants to avoid what they call unnecessary expenses for traveling to Wichita County for court hearings.
