The residents of Cashion will have an opportunity to voice their opinions on a possible airport zoning ordinance.
Cashion City Commissioners are considering enacting an airport zoning ordinance that would regulate and restrict the height of structures and natural objects and the use of property in the city to avoid airport hazards.
Commissioners say the zoning ordinance would show the Cashion community's support of Sheppard Air Force Base.
On Monday, Cashion residents wanted to know what the height restrictions would be and say one of the main reason Cashion incorporated in 2000 was to get away from airport zoning restrictions imposed by the City of Wichita Falls.
The commissioners can't vote on an ordinance until they hold a public hearing.
A public hearing will be held on March 24 at 7 p.m. at Cashion City Hall located at 354 Baker Rd.
